Professional recognition

Course rules
To complete the Bachelor of Communication students must pass 24 credit points and meet the following course rules to be eligible to graduate:
- DAI001 Academic Integrity and Respect at Deakin (0-credit-point compulsory unit) in their first study period
- 3 credit points of Thematic core units
- 3 credit points of Employability sequence units
- one of:
- 2 majors (8 credit points each). At least one major must be chosen from the Communication majors
- 1 major (8 credit points) from the Communication majors, plus 1 minor (4 credit points)
- remaining credit points which may comprise of:
- 1 additional minor
- open electives
- a combination of the above
- a maximum of 10 credit points at level 1
- a minimum of 6 credit points at level 3

Fees and charges
Fees and charges vary depending on the type of fee place you hold, your course, your commencement year, the units you choose to study, and their study discipline or your study load.
Tuition fees increase at the beginning of each calendar year and all fees quoted are in Australian dollars ($AUD). Tuition fees do not include textbooks, computer equipment or software, other equipment or costs such as mandatory checks, travel and stationery.
