This unit requires no formal attendance; however, it will involve a minimum of 6 months supervised contact

Placements can be completed in Australia or overseas. Students cannot enrol in the unit or commence a placement without written approval.

Content

The unit aims to provide students with an opportunity as part of their course to take part in a six-month paid full-time work placement within an organisation as a means to develop student’s knowledge, generic skills and graduate attributes that enhance future employment.

Assessment

Assessment 1 (Individual) - Start of placement self-evaluation (1000 words) -10%

Assessment 2 (Individual) - Fortnightly placement logs - 10%

Assessment 3 (Individual) - Mid-placement evaluation (2000 words) - 20%

Assessment 4 (Individual) - End-placement evaluation (1000 words) - 20%

Assessment 5 (Individual) - Post-placement reflection and portfolio (2000 words) - 40%
