This unit is an experiential learning unit which will involve approximately 100 hours of teamwork plus approximately 20 hours for individual reflection and associated assessment tasks.  Contact hours in formal class attendance will vary depending upon the team project and are included in the 100 hours of teamwork.

Content

The purpose of this unit is to give you the opportunity to undertake an authentic project to facilitate learning within a team structure. This 100-160 hour placement has been designed for you to learn in and with the team, with the intention of critically reflecting on your placement, your graduate attributes and employability competencies through continuous assessment processes. Opportunities to undertake this unit are Faculty sourced and promoted. Special workshops may be offered for students.

Assessment

Assessment 1 (Individual) - Preliminary Tasks (1,500 words) - 15%

Assessment 2 (Individual) - Reflective Learning Journal (1,500 words) - 15%

Assessment 3 (Team of 3 to 7 students) - Final report (4,000 to 5,000 words) and presentation (10-minutes) - 50%

Assessment 4 (Individual) - Reflective summary including review of contribution (2,000 words) - 20%

Hurdle requirement:achieve at least 50% on Assessment Task 4.
