Content
An active and diverse events program is a feature of vibrant and dynamic places. Events contribute to a range of cultural, social, economic and environmental outcomes. As a result, a growing number of organisations (including arts, sporting, education and tourism), government departments, community groups and commercial businesses are engaged in delivering events. These events are developed in response to diverse issues, locations/ destinations, communities/ audiences and business objectives. This unit develops skills in designing, planning and delivering festivals and events. It examines the use of a range of management processes, including: project management; operations and risk management; financial management; human resources; and strategic marketing.
