Content

This unit examines the financial accounting 'cycle', from the recording of relevant transactions through to the preparation of financial statements.

Assessment

Assessment 1: (Individual) A Case study (equivalent to 2,000 words) 20%

Assessment 2: (Group of 4) Written evaluation and interpretation of an accounting cycle in a business situation (2,000 words) 20%

Examination: (2-hours) 60%

Hurdle requirement

Hurdle requirement: achieve at least 50% of the marks available on the examination and submit all assessments.
