Content

This unit facilitates a deeper knowledge of the various employment opportunities available in criminology-related industries. It directly supports students to further develop relevant skills and improve employability in their preferred career. The unit incorporates presentations from a number of industry and other stakeholder partners who each provide personal insight about their roles within various criminal justice related organisations and agencies, and offer advice to students on how to successfully enter their field of work. Seminars feature representatives from a broad range of professions, including law enforcement, intelligence, corrections, legal services, private security, government departments and community service agencies. The regular seminars will be accompanied by online activities, discussions and assessment tasks that simulate the research and policy work required within criminology-related fields of employment.
