Content

This unit is the capstone production unit for the Screen Production major. It is an opportunity for students to specialise in one of the production roles that most interest them such as producing/production management, directing, production design/art direction, animation, cinematography, sound design and editing/post-production, or television studio, independent video, experimental or documentary production.

This unit produces selected short form projects from ACF307 Major Project Development. It will introduce screen production to equip students with the necessary creative and technical skills to undertake a short form production. It explores the techniques, skills and knowledge of continuity and constructive coverage and the fundamentals of directing, lighting, cinematography, sound recording, camera, cast and crew management. It is a practical unit that requires participation in the assessment activities, workshops and production exercises that will contribute to the development of industry standard production skills.
