Content
SRM777 provides students with an opportunity to acquire employability skills and gain a better understanding of construction workplace practice. Students participate in a simulated (software) construction environment as a team that allows them to work collegially in discipline-relevant roles to build work-ready or professional capabilities. The simulation exercises provide students with an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills, both technical and generic (i.e. communication, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic thinking). The skills gained in this unit are crucial for their employability and work readiness. Students reflect on their employability skill development and demonstrate how participation in a simulated construction environment provided an applied form of learning and prepared them for built environment careers.

These tools stay with you beyond the classroom, helping you to keep learning, explore ideas more deeply, and connect with knowledge in ways that matter to you.
