Content

The unit focuses on applications of editorial roles and functions to a digital publication process. Students will have the opportunity to develop a themed group anthology, including selecting and editing content; negotiating with a writer; structuring, designing and preparing initial marketing for a publication and its specified readership; and applying legal principles to publication decisions. At the end of the unit, students will demonstrate skills in structural/content/copy editing with writers, working with a small group to edit and publish a digital anthology, and individually presenting their evaluation of the process in relation to the writing/publishing industry.
