Content
This unit introduces students to one of the oldest and most fundamental forms of literary expression: poetry. The unit concentrates on poetry as a contemporary creative practice, with an emphasis on concepts and techniques that support poetic production. The unit concentrates on typographic forms of poetry, but it also looks beyond 'poetry of the page’, introducing students to digital and performative forms of poetry. Conceptually, the unit covers aspects of poetics such as catalogue, form and genre, ecopoetics, and beyond. The unit is designed to cater to students with diverse experiences in reading and writing poetry.
