Content
This unit provides a foundation in the application of production arts in live performance environments. Through a combination of theory and practice, students are introduced to the core aspects of stagecraft, including lighting, sound, stage mechanics, workplace health and safety, and production communication processes. The unit focuses on the principles and practical operation of lighting and sound systems, developing foundational skills in lighting and sound design, setup, and operation. Students will gain a broad understanding of stagecraft and production practices that support live performance and lay the groundwork for future specialisation in live performance technical production.
