Content
This unit provides students with an in-depth exploration of innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation in the sport industry, examining how change and disruption are shaping the business of sport. Students will engage with foundational theories of innovation and entrepreneurship while analysing key trends influencing the sport ecosystem locally and globally. The unit spans both commercial and participation sport contexts, focusing on the application of digital, data, and emergent technologies, as well as evolving business models driven by changing sport consumption patterns. The unit also highlights themes of organisational change, entrepreneurship and globalisation in sport. Through industry insights, case-based learning, and applied problem-solving, students will develop the knowledge and skills to navigate the future of sport business.
