Content

With the ever growing volume of data, as well as the increasing complexity of corporate information, it is now becoming more difficult for organisations to identify and take advantage of valuable business information. Contemporary Business Intelligence addresses this conundrum by delivering the right information to the right people at the right time and in the right format. This unit aims to provide an introduction to the business uses, value and technologies of business intelligence. It will give students a broad overview of business intelligence and introduce current theories, techniques, frameworks, applications and technologies in business intelligence that satisfy business stakeholder requirements. It will also provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in using the industry-standard business intelligence system (Microsoft Power BI).
