Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

This unit will introduce students to the design, development and management of screen projects in film, television and animation. Students will explore the different types of producer roles, relationships and networks within local and global screen industries. It will cover industry guidelines, codes of conduct, legal considerations, occupational health and safety issues as well as the processes and practices of screen production. Students will learn the steps required to take a project from script to screen by engaging in development, pre-production planning, pitching and identification of distribution opportunities.
